The results of the international footbridge competition in Blois within the Loire Valley are now unveiled. We are grateful to the team involved and the incredible efforts for the participation within the 5 finalists presenting a scheme. We truly enjoyed the design journey as part of a real European team of passionate! Our shared vision remains.

We believe that this unique UNESCO site deserves a full integrated approach as a unique river valley experience. Its river flow draws a complex journey, but La Loire pleasures are simple, and certainly moves us away from any structural artifice.

"La Sterne Passerelle” – as we named it - is a soft and elegant line over the Loire river like the curve of a white feather. A horizontal line in the landscape punctuated by V shaped supports anchored on alternating existing dam supports. The delicate “Belvédères” and the whole shape were inspired by the Sterne birds themselves, and pays tribute to the birds with which it cohabits with simplicity.

"Le Belvédère des Noëls” is a historical trace continuing the memory of the railway viaduct as a dotted line between the past and the present inhabited by the light of the wild landscape of the river banks.
