Spree Timber Haus is a pioneering eco-residential tower redefining sustainable urban living in the heart of Berlin. Rising beside the serene banks of the Spree River, this sculptural timber high-rise is a flagship for green architecture, seamlessly integrating nature, community, and design innovation.
The tower’s architecture is inspired by modular treehouse forms, composed of interlocking timber volumes with generous balconies, green terraces, and vertical gardens. Built primarily from cross-laminated timber (CLT), Spree Timber Haus is not only carbon-negative in construction but also acoustically warm and energy-efficient. Its warm, natural aesthetic contrasts and complements the surrounding steel-and-glass cityscape.
Key Features:
The project aims to be a model for Berlin’s post-carbon architectural ambitions, combining sustainable materials with modern lifestyle aspirations. Residents enjoy both immersion in nature and proximity to Berlin’s vibrant urban culture—a rare and intentional balance.
